Honda, which for a long time supplied the Turkish market only through imports, has now started direct production at its new manufacturing facility in Aliağa district of İzmir. The resumption of domestic production has created excitement in the sector and is considered an important turning point for motorcycle enthusiasts.
This massive facility, established in the Aliağa Organized Industrial Zone, has begun its first production steps. According to statements from officials, the first domestically produced Honda models have successfully rolled off the assembly lines. The facility covers a total area of over 100 square meters and its investment value is estimated at approximately 800 million TL. This investment is making a revitalizing contribution to the regional economy and is creating employment opportunities for approximately 300 people in the early stages.
In terms of production capacity, the factory's initial target is to produce 100 motorcycles per year. ZamIt is understood that this amount is planned to increase and reach the level of 200 units. In addition, not only the assembly of new motorcycles but also the production of spare parts needed by the industry will be carried out in this facility. In the future, export opportunities between countries that have been producing here until now are also being evaluated, and the possibility of opening up to international markets through this factory is gaining strength.
No matter how you look at it, the development consumers are most looking forward to is a decrease in costs. It is predicted that Honda motorcycle prices will significantly decrease thanks to domestic production. What are your thoughts on this investment? You can share your opinions on the impact of domestic production on prices and which brand of motorcycle you prefer in your daily life.
