Chery Group announced its sales figures for October. Accordingly, the group's sales reached 281,161 units in October, a 3,3 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Chery Group's new energy vehicle (NEV) sales increased by 54,7 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 110,346 units. This marks the first time in Chery's history that monthly NEV sales have surpassed 110,000 units.
In October, the group's overseas shipments totaled 126,434 units. This figure, which represents a 13 percent increase year-on-year, also marks the sixth consecutive month that Chery Group has exported over 100,000 units. With total exports reaching 1,062,862 vehicles, Chery Group set a new record in the sector as the fastest Chinese automaker to surpass 1 million vehicle exports in a calendar year. Meanwhile, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. sold 263,466 vehicles in October, a 2 percent year-on-year increase. Between January and October, Chery Group sold a total of 2,288,929 vehicles, achieving 13 percent growth compared to the same period last year and breaking its sales record for the period. The brand's global user base now exceeds 18 million, 5,56 million of whom are located abroad.
This year, the Chery Group made significant breakthroughs in five strategic areas: new energy, globalization, technological innovation, product quality, and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance). Driven by continuous technological innovation, Chery sold 697,891 NEVs between January and October, achieving 73,1 percent year-on-year growth, ranking among the most successful automakers in terms of volume and growth rate. Many new energy models have attracted global attention even at launch. During the 2025 Chery Brand User Summit, the all-electric A0 segment SUV "Chery Q" was unveiled to great interest, while the HIMLA EV also made its debut, expanding its product line. Chery's globalization strategy, driven by the principle of "Being somewhere, being for somewhere, being from somewhere," is rapidly moving from product exports to full ecosystem localization. Between January and October, Chery exported 1.06 million vehicles, a 12,9 percent increase compared to the previous year, becoming the fastest Chinese automotive group to surpass the 1 million export threshold in a calendar year. Sales in the EU and UK markets reached 171,147 units, a 2,4-fold increase year-on-year.
Chery has also made remarkable advances in smart technology. At its annual Global Innovation Conference, the company unveiled over 10 advanced technologies, including an AI-based next-generation vehicle architecture, providing a versatile and intelligent user experience. Chery has also accelerated its efforts in embodied intelligence, large-scale AI applications, and IT infrastructure. The company's humanoid robot, AiMOGA, is now commercially available and has begun deliveries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, and other markets, creating a new growth engine in the smart electric era. Chery's design aesthetics have also been widely recognized; its new QQ model has won two Red Dot Design Awards in Germany. Chery remains committed to safety and quality. The company has established more than 100 safety standards exceeding national standards and ranked first among Chinese independent automakers in five major categories: sales satisfaction (SSI), customer service (CSI), product appeal (APEAL), premium quality (IQS), and vehicle durability (VDS) as assessed by JD Power. To date, 54 Chery models have received five-star safety ratings according to various international standards, maintaining its leading position among Chinese brands.
As a global brand, Chery continues to enhance its ESG efforts across its value chain. In October, the company officially launched the Chery Global ESG Advisory Alliance, with former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon serving as Honorary Global ESG Advisor. Chery also renewed its partnership with UNICEF, announcing a new three-year program for global education equity, and committed an additional $6 million to support disadvantaged children.
