Hyundai has achieved the title of being the automotive group that received the most awards for the second year in a row, as a result of the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) evaluations conducted for the 2025 model year. This year, Hyundai's 2025 Elantra ve Sonata models, prestigious TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) rating. In addition, IONQ 5, IONQ 6, Kona, Tucson ve SANTA FE models were also honored with various awards.
This success has once again demonstrated Hyundai’s commitment to vehicle safety. The IIHS has updated its evaluation criteria as of 2025, implementing stricter measures to increase the safety of rear-seat passengers. In the new crash tests, potential injury risks are analyzed more realistically by using dummies representing a 12-year-old child or a small-bodied woman in the back seat.
Hyundai's win of these awards shows that it is not limited to the front safety features of its vehicles, but also includes significant improvements to ensure that passengers in the back seat have a safe travel experience.
