Dal Makhani Materials

  • 500 gr green lentils
  • 100 gr kidney beans
  • 100 g butter
  • 75 ml cream
  • 125 gr tomato puree
  • 25 grams of ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 10 gr garam masala
  • 20 grams of red chili powder
  • Salt

How to Make Dal Makhani?

  1. Clean and chop the garlic.
  2. Soak green lentils and kidney beans in water for eight hours.
  3. Change the water and boil the lentils.
  4. Once cooked, remove from the heat and rinse with water.
  5. Add the ginger and chopped garlic and bring to a boil again.
  6. Cook the lentils thoroughly over low heat.
  7. Sauté the chopped garlic in a pan.
  8. Add the red chili powder and tomato puree.
  9. Sauté for a few more minutes and then remove from heat.
  10. Add the mixture and butter to the lentils and cook for another 15 minutes.
  11. Finally, add the cream and garam masala.
  12. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and serve.
