The world's leading electric car manufacturer BYD, continues its impressive growth in the Turkish market without slowing down. The most preferred model of BYD, which aims to be the fastest growing automobile brand in Türkiye in 2025 SEAL U, attracts attention with its sales performance and user satisfaction.
Having achieved the success of being the best-selling model among all passenger cars in Türkiye in April, SEAL U was deemed worthy of the “Car of the Year in Türkiye” award by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) last week. Immediately following this award, SEAL U reached its 20.000th delivery, adding a new milestone to the brand’s success in Türkiye.
The 20.000th BYD SEAL U was delivered to its new owner on June 26 at a special ceremony. The 20.000th member of the BYD SEAL U family, which has long been interested in new energy vehicles and has chosen BYD Zeynep Burcu Gucelioglu, evaluated this special moment as follows: “Being the 20th customer is a great source of pride and happiness for me. I chose BYD because I liked the vehicle the moment I saw it. It more than met my expectations in terms of price-performance. I was completely satisfied with the BYD SEAL U model, I said, ‘This is my car.’ It is truly extraordinary that its technological features and innovations are offered at this price.”
BYD SEAL U Stands Out with Different Engine Options
BYD's D-SUV model, offered in the Turkish market with its fully electric and plug-in hybrid versions SEAL U, draws attention by offering a combination of modern design and advanced technology. The fully electric SEAL U EV offers a combined range of 500 kilometers on a single charge according to the WLTP standard, making long-distance driving comfortable. The model, which also provides great convenience in daily use thanks to its fast charging support, represents environmentally friendly transportation with zero emission values.
The rechargeable hybrid version SEAL U DM-i stands out with its low fuel consumption and impressive range capacity. According to the WLTP standard, the 4×2 version has a combined driving range of 1.080 kilometers, while the 4×4 version offers a combined driving range of 870 kilometers. With this performance, SEAL U DM-i makes the rechargeable hybrid segment accessible in Türkiye, while making a significant contribution to the growth of the segment by diversifying the options in its market. Both versions have become the common choice of both families and technology enthusiasts with their spacious interiors, comfort-oriented designs and advanced driving assistance systems.
BYD SEAL U DM-i: Türkiye's Most Preferred Plug-in Hybrid SUV
The world's first mass-produced plug-in hybrid car manufacturer BYD's model in the D-SUV segment SEAL U DM-i, offers a powerful and efficient driving experience. The model combines a 145 kW (197 PS) electric motor with a 72 kW (98 PS) 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, resulting in a total system output of 160 kW (218 PS). With a total range of up to 1.080 kilometres according to WLTP combined driving data, the SEAL U DM-i is the ideal choice for long journeys.
In the all-wheel drive version, the system power increases to 238 kW (323 PS) thanks to the dual-motor structure, while maintaining the exterior dimensions. This version offers a more dynamic and agile drive and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5,9 seconds.
BYD SEAL U EV: Powerful and Premium Electric SUV
The all-electric version of the SEAL U BYD SEAL U HOME, is equipped with the brand's innovative Blade Battery with a capacity of 87 kWh. It stands out with its range of up to 500 kilometers according to WLTP mixed driving measurements and 674 kilometers in urban use. Thanks to 140 kW DC fast charging support, the battery can be charged from 28 percent to 30 percent in 80 minutes.
SEAL U EV offers performance and comfort together, accelerating from 160 to 218 km/h in 0 seconds with its 100 kW (9,6 PS) electric motor. With these features, BYD SEAL U EV more than meets the expectations of users.
