All Electricity Needs at Türktractor Factory Are Met by Solar Energy!

Sustainability Move from TürkTraktör: Solar Power Plant

TürkTraktör has implemented an important project in line with its sustainability goals. The 13 MWe Solar Power Plant (SPP) established by Entek Elektrik has been commissioned in Sivas with an investment of 7,8 million Euros. With an annual production capacity of 22.537 MWh, this plant will meet the electricity needs of TürkTraktör's Ankara factory entirely from renewable sources.

TurkTraktör company leader Matthieu Sejourne, emphasized that the solar power plant they built in Sivas is an extremely valuable step in terms of their sustainability commitments. Sejourne said, “As TürkTraktör, sustainability is one of our most important focal points. Within the scope of our ‘Preparing for the Future’ mission, we aim to be sustainable at every stage of our production and operations while supporting our farmers with the most environmentally friendly tractors and equipment. In order to minimize our environmental impact, we have commissioned the Solar Power Plant in Sivas in line with our goal of meeting the electricity needs of our Ankara factory entirely from renewable resources that we produce.”

Sejourne said, “We took the first step towards the energy needs of our Ankara factory last year with the rooftop solar power plant system,” and provided more information about the solar power plant: “The plant that we put into operation in Sivas with an investment of 7,8 million Euros is located on an area of approximately 19 hectares. Sivas Solar Power Plant, which has a power of 13 MWe, aims to produce 22.537 MWh of electricity annually. Thanks to our Sivas Solar Power Plant facilities and the solar panels on the roof of our factory, we are able to meet 100% of the electricity needs of our Ankara factory from renewable energy sources.”
