Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has made an ambitious entry into the automotive sector and introduced its first SUV model, the YU7. This new model not only draws attention with its performance, technological features and design, but also stands out with the largest clamshell hood in the world.

Xiaomi YU7 has an impressive stance with its 5-meter length. Its modern exterior design is enriched with LED daytime running lights and aerodynamic details, especially at the front. Inside, the wide-screen digital instrument panel and advanced multimedia system take the user experience to the next level.
Xiaomi YU7 Range Performance
The YU7, which has an electric motor, offers two different power options: single motor and dual motor. These options offer users different driving experiences, while the model also provides confidence on long journeys with an impressive range of up to 835 kilometers.
Xiaomi YU7's Eye-Catching Hood
The most striking feature of the YU7 is its 3.11 square metre aluminium clamshell hood. This innovative design not only improves aerodynamic efficiency but also weighs about half as much as conventional steel hoods. Thus, the YU7 surpasses the 90 square metre hood of the Genesis G2.6, making it the largest production vehicle with a clamshell hood.
Xiaomi YU7 Pricing and Sale Date
Xiaomi has officially announced that the YU7 will be available in Europe in the last quarter of 2025. Pricing details will be announced in July. Aiming to compete with the Tesla Model Y, the YU7 aims to attract the attention of car enthusiasts with its innovative design and technological features.
