Fiat Tris: Three-Wheeled Electric Commercial Vehicle
Fiat is entering the electric commercial vehicle segment with an innovative model, the Fiat Tris. This vehicle was introduced as a 12-horsepower electric tricycle and will initially be available in the Indian and African markets. Fiat CEO Olivier François raised the possibility of entering the European market, emphasizing the potential of this model in international markets.
Electric and Practical Design
The Fiat Tris is a fully electric three-wheeler produced under the Fiat Professional brand. It is built in the same production facility as popular small electric vehicles in Europe, such as the Fiat Topolino, Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks, in FCA Kenitra, Morocco. The Fiat Tris has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 6,9 kWh, offering a range of up to 90 km and a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
Carrying Capacity and Charging Times
Tris weighs 485 kg and has a carrying capacity of up to 540 kg. This vehicle, which can be charged with a standard 240V socket, completes 80% charge in 3 hours and 100% charge in 5 hours. These features provide a great advantage especially for users looking for practicality in urban transportation.
Entry into the Turkish Market
There is no official statement yet on when Fiat Tris will come to Türkiye. However, considering the possibility of entering the European market, it is highly likely that Türkiye will also be included in this market. In Türkiye, where interest in electric vehicles is increasing, innovative and environmentally friendly vehicles such as Fiat Tris are expected to find a potentially significant market.
