Women's Day Event from TürkTraktör
TürkTraktör celebrated Women's Day with a special program organized at its Ankara Factory. Various panels were held at the event with the participation of experts in their fields. In the first part of the program, Women's Day Special Session was held. In this session, Koç Holding Digital Transformation and Information Technologies Coordinator and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Women in Technology Association Hayriye Karadeniz, President of the Women in Technology Association Zehra Öney, TürkTraktör Human, Culture & Transformation Business Leader Ceren Ertem Çimen and Industrial Relations and Employee Operations Product Leader Pınar Işık Yılmaz moderated and shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants.
EQUALITY IN ALL AREAS
Following the session, UN Women Turkey Private Sector Partnerships Team Leader Pınar Akçayöz De Neve gave a speech titled 'Equality in All Areas for All Women and Girls'. Dr. Duygu Beste Başer Özcan from Hacettepe University presented information on 'DEI Awareness: Gender Barriers and Diversity'. In addition, Headline Diversity founder Arzu Pınar Demirel raised awareness on 'Neurodiversity and Inclusion'.
In the last part of the program, Ford Otosan Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Product Leader Zülal Çalışkan, Garanti BBVA Diversity and Inclusion Discipline Leader Öykü Kayaalp and Schneider Electric Human Resources Manager Ezgi Feda provided information about DEI (Diversity, Equality and Inclusion) practices implemented in the business world.
TürkTraktör Company President Matthieu Sejourne, whose views were included in the statement, stated that he believes that TürkTraktör's sustainable success is only possible by ensuring different voices, perspectives and equal opportunities.
TEAM STRUCTURE BASED ON GENDER EQUALITY
Sejourne emphasized that they have been operating for over 70 years and stated that they accept these values not only as a commitment but also as a strong resource that they place at the center of their corporate identity. Sejourne stated that they are aware that awareness and actions regarding DEI are everyone's responsibility and said, "We attach great importance to improving the physical and social impacts on our colleagues with special needs, and we increase the influence of our female employees in decision-making processes every day. We are proud to see team structures based on gender equality from different age groups in our teams."
Sejourne emphasized that they act with a similar perspective not only in their internal structures but also in their areas of influence, and said, “With our ‘Miracles of Sprouts Technology and Innovation’ project that we have implemented in recent years, we aimed to develop the technological literacy of young women and support them. Because we know that as the presence of women in the field of technology and innovation strengthens, the business world will also become stronger.”
TürkTraktör Human, Culture & Transformation Business Leader Ceren Ertem Çimen also stated that they believe that every individual with different backgrounds, experiences, values, ages, genders and physical characteristics makes them stronger and more creative.
MORE THAN 4 THOUSAND GIRLS STUDENTS
“Since 2016, we have been carrying out a project called ‘Miracles of Sprouts’ within the scope of the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles. Thanks to our project, where we determined our focus area as female students, female employees and farmers, we have increased the rate of female employees in the field to 10 percent. While providing scholarship opportunities to more than 300 students, we are happy to shape the career journeys of more than 2022 thousand female students in the past period with our project that we have directed to the STEM field under the name of Miracles of Sprouts Technology and Innovation in 4.”
