Resignations Continue at OpenAI

OpenAI, which has made groundbreaking advances in the field of artificial intelligence, continues to see significant resignations, with CEO Sam Altman returning to his position.

Sutskever had left

Former chief scientist of OpenAI Ilya Sutskever, announced his departure from the company in May. This departure marked the beginning of a series of changes at the artificial intelligence giant. After Sutskever, less than 4 months later, the company's Chief Technology Officer Mira Murat Murati also announced that he resigned from his position. In his departure note, Murati stated that he directed security research and practical applications of artificial intelligence and that he made this decision to explore new opportunities.

CEO Sam Altman thanked Murati and the other departing executives, stressing that leadership transitions are inevitable in fast-growing technology companies. Altman said such changes are a natural process in an innovative environment.

Two Key Names Resigned

Two important names that played a critical role in OpenAI's research, Bob McGrew ve Barret Zoph, announced that they are leaving the company. McGrew has made significant contributions to the development of AI models, while Zoph has played a key role in scaling advanced technologies such as ChatGPT. These departures are considered part of a larger change process that could have an impact on OpenAI’s future direction and projects.
