The MG brand, which is part of the SAIC Group and represented by Doğan Trend Otomotiv in Turkey, has started pre-sales of the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of its new HS model, which will start a new era with its range of over a thousand kilometers and turbo engine.
The MG brand, represented by Doğan Trend Automotive in Turkey, has started pre-sales of the new model for 2 million 90 thousand TL while preparing to launch the new generation HS PHEV model in Turkey in October. The ambitious model, which stands out as the “Turbo of Hybrid”, will make a difference with its ability to travel over 100 kilometers with an electric engine without consuming any gasoline, a total range of over a thousand kilometers, a turbo hybrid engine and ultra-low fuel consumption.
Developed at SAIC London Design Office, MG’s state-of-the-art New HS PHEV brings a more technological look to the SUV design with its new front grille and thinner headlights. On the other hand, the central black panel connecting the headlights emphasizes the width of the new car.
At the rear, the LED taillights, which reflect the design of the front headlights, are connected by a central motif, while the X-shape, which is particularly striking at night, creates a unique light signature. Reflecting MG's new generation design language, the New HS PHEV offers a width of 1.890 mm and a length of 4.670 mm. The model's wheelbase has also increased to 2.767 mm, providing an even more spacious interior.
The new HS PHEV can easily reach a range of over a thousand kilometers with its 21.4 kWh battery and 55-liter fuel tank. The most important feature that makes it superior to its competitors is that it can cover a distance of over 100 kilometers on electric power alone without consuming any fuel. Thus, it can be used 100 percent electric in the city without consuming any fuel, and on long roads with gasoline without range concerns. With its ultra-efficient hybrid system, the new HS PHEV offers an unrivaled value with a fuel consumption of only 100 liters per 0.54 kilometers.
Thanks to its new-generation software, it combines a 145 PS 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with a 185 PS electric motor. The software, which enables the two engines to work in series or in parallel, and optimizes the relationship between the engines by understanding the driver's needs, was developed by SAIC engineers.
The model is equipped with a new and accelerated software, a single wide screen consisting of two high-resolution screens, each 31.2 cm (12.3 screens of 2 inches), wireless smartphone charging, side mirrors with memory, a 6-way driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support and memory, an automatic trunk lid, a 360-degree surround view camera, and a hi-fi system with 8 speakers. With its innovative model with superior technology, MG also offers the V2L Energy Sharing Feature, which enables the supply of electricity to the exterior of the vehicle, for the first time in a hybrid model.
In addition to the high safety measures it offers, the HS PHEV also enables semi-autonomous driving. It offers advanced MG Pilot Technological Driving Support Systems as standard, including Active Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Support, Blind Spot Monitor with Lane Change Support, Driver Distraction Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Door Opening Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Traffic Driving System.
