Delphi Brake Pads Tested by Professional Drivers

In the tests conducted by an independent testing company, thus ensuring impartiality, distinguished brands were tested under equal conditions. As a result of the tests evaluating the new generation products of the brands in terms of performance and environmental responsibility, Delphi brake pads not only met the high standards but also managed to stand out among their competitors by exceeding these standards many times.

Brake discs and pads from 4 top brands were installed on 6 Mercedes A Series cars determined by the independent testing company. In the first phase of the Original Equipment Independent Brake Test, the vehicles traveled 4 thousand kilometers on dry roads. In this way, the collected dust was ensured to reach only the brake pads. The vehicles, driven in convoy, completed a 210-kilometer track, which combined mountainous and urban driving difficulties, and each stage took 200 minutes to complete.

Each vehicle completed two runs per day for 10 days, so that the dust emissions of the brake pads could be tested comprehensively and rigorously. At the end of the tests, Delphi non-asbestos organic (NAO) brake pads demonstrated superior performance and surpassed other distinguished brands and original equipment (OE) in dust emission tests.

Delphi brake pads showed superior performance in terms of quiet operation in the noise test and received 10 points in the noise index, where 9,8 points means complete silence. This result outperformed both aftermarket and OE competitors. Providing a more comfortable driving environment for drivers with a lower noise level than all its competitors, Delphi brake pads promise minimal impact on wildlife negatively affected by noise pollution.

Delphi brake pads, on the other hand, have been tested by independent professional drivers who have the ability to detect even the slightest variation in brake pedal response. Delphi provided the most consistent results compared to its competitors, giving the driver the same response every time the brake pedal was pressed, with zero deviation.
