The first batch of a thousand natural gas-powered buses that Kyrgyzstan bought from the Chinese company Zhongtong got off the production line in Liaocheng city of Shandong province. Zhongtong-branded buses are expected to replace Kyrgyzstan's fuel-powered buses.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Caparov attended the ceremony for the buses to be taken off the production line. It has been learned that natural gas-powered buses will reduce carbon emissions by 20-30 percent and sulfur emissions by 99 percent compared to fuel-oiled vehicles.
In 2022, the trade volume between China and Kyrgyzstan is 15 billion 500 million dollars. It was reported that China is the largest trading partner of Kyrgyzstan and the country that invests the most in the country.
