Uşak Mayor Mehmet Çakın and his accompanying Uşak Delegation, who came to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to attend the "Uşak Carpets Exhibition" organized by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, visited GÜNSEL, the domestic car of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, to learn about the mass production works. took.

The delegation consisting of Uşak Mayor Mehmet Çakın, Uşak Deputy Mayors Zeynep Ceylaner and Hikmet Kahraman, Cultural and Social Affairs Director Etem Sevil and municipal employees were attended by Near East Organization Museums Department Head Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul accompanied him. The delegation also visited the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, the Cyprus Car Museum and the Cyprus Herbarium and Natural History Museum located on the Near East University campus.

Uşak Mayor Mehmet Çakın, who took a test drive with the B9 in the GÜNSEL Test Drive area, then received information from GÜNSEL Board Member Yalvaç Akgün about the vehicle's features and ongoing mass production studies.

Uşak Mayor Mehmet Çakın and the accompanying delegation will also attend the opening of the “Uşak Carpet Exhibition”, which will be opened on Friday, February 3 at 16.00 at the Near East University Hospital Exhibition Hall. The exhibition, which will be opened by President Ersin Tatar, will bring together 46 unique handmade carpets with art lovers.

Evaluating the performance of the vehicle after the test drive with the GÜNSEL B9, the domestic and national car of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Uşak Mayor Mehmet Çakın said, “GÜNSEL was quite successful in terms of performance and comfort. We want to see GÜNSEL on the roads as soon as possible”.

Çakın said that it is a great pride that such a successful vehicle was developed in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and said, "I congratulate everyone who contributed to the development of GÜNSEL and bringing it to this point."

Emphasizing that science, technology and art are intertwined at the Near East University, Çakın said that they had the chance to see many impressive works of art by visiting the Near East Formation Museums. President Çakın said, “We are very happy to have the opportunity to promote our Uşak Carpets in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus through the Near East University and the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art, where art and science are intertwined.”
