Expressing his views on the subject, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, “We started a joint project between Karsan and CREDO GROUP for the opportunities that may arise in line with the goals of Indonesia and Jakarta public transportation company TransJakarta to switch the public transportation network to electric minibuses and buses by 2030. In line with this cooperation, we aim to carry out most of the electric public transportation transformation of the city of Jakarta, which is targeted to be realized by 2030 and which is worth a billion dollars with tens of thousands of vehicles. We expect this same potential from other Indonesian cities besides Jakarta.”

Karsan CEO Okan Baş, who also made statements about the electric transformation in the field of public transportation in Indonesia, said, “For the opportunities that may arise in line with the goals of Indonesia and the Jakarta public transportation company TransJakarta to switch the public transportation network to electric buses by 2030, we are between Karsan and CREDO GROUP. We started a joint project. We aim to realize the majority of the electric public transportation transformation of the city of Jakarta, with tens of thousands of vehicles and billion dollars, which is aimed to be realized by 2030, in line with this cooperation. First of all, it is planned to sell the first vehicles with the completed vehicles produced in Turkey, and later on, by establishing an SKD type (semi-disassembled) production facility, we aim to complete the right-hand drive vehicles, which have been completed in Turkey at a high rate, in Indonesia and to gain an advantage in sales to neighboring countries. If we can achieve our goals, we, as Karsan, are very excited to represent the Turkish automotive industry successfully in this geography as well.”
