Hyundai IONIQ Gets Star From Euro NCAP
Hyundai IONIQ Received 6 Stars from 5 Euro NCAP

Hyundai's new electric model, IONIQ 6, received the highest score in the crash tests carried out by the world-renowned independent vehicle evaluation organization Euro NCAP. The IONIQ 6, Hyundai's newest model in the IONIQ series, has achieved the highest safety standards, achieving a maximum five-star EURO NCAP rating.

All vehicles that pass the tough Euro NCAP safety test are evaluated in four different categories: “Adult Passenger”, “Child Passenger”, “Sensitive Road User” and “Safety Assistant”. The five-star Hyundai IONIQ 6 performed excellently in the “Adult Occupant”, “Child Occupant” and “Safety Assist” categories.

Advanced drive systems provide a high level of security for the IONIQ 6.

In addition to seven airbags as standard, the IONIQ 6 is equipped with advanced Hyundai SmartSense "Driver Assist Systems" that provide safety and comfort on the road. The most striking among these equipment is the "Highway Driving Assistant 2-(HDA)", which helps to maintain a certain distance and speed with the vehicle in front, and even helps to keep the vehicle in the lane even when cornering. The navigation-based “Smart Ride Control-(NSCC)” helps the driver to maintain the distance to the vehicle in front by scanning his driving style and to keep driving at the speed set by the driver. In addition, it optimizes autonomous driving and helps to set the ideal speed for safer driving in corners.

For all these dynamics, sensors that use the navigation system's road information, "Front Collision Avoidance Assistant (FCA)", assists the emergency braking by giving a warning while driving.

The IONIQ 6 will be built with Hyundai's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The model, which received 5 stars from Euro NCAP, will come with a superior power unit (77.4 kWh) that provides both stress-free driving pleasure and performance. With the new generation battery technology developed by Hyundai, a consumption of 100 kWh per 13,9 kilometers is achieved. zamIt will also be one of the most efficient battery-electric models (BEV) in countries where it will be available for sale.
