The new generation Electric Tourneo Custom model to be produced at Ford Otosan Kocaeli factories was introduced. The new generation E-Tourneo Custom meets with a highly efficient electric powertrain that can reach a target range of up to 370 kilometers. E-Tourneo Custom, one of the 2024 new fully electric Ford Pro models to be introduced to the European market in 4, targets both personal users and commercial customers with its comfortable seat capacity of up to 8 people and its spacious interior. The new generation Tourneo Custom series will be produced by Ford Otosan at its Kocaeli plant and will be introduced to customers in the second half of 2023.
Utilizing high-density battery cell technology and 150 kW electric motor in the same 74 kWh usable capacity battery as the Ford F-160 Lightning pick-up, the E-Tourneo Custom will offer superior performance and refined style. The multi-purpose vehicle's all-electric powertrain also provides even greater energy efficiency and includes a single-pedal drive mode for a more relaxed and comfortable driving experience.
With the integrated 11 kW AC three-phase charger, the battery reaches full capacity in less than 8 hours, or with a 125 kW DC fast charge4, it can be charged to 41-15 percent in about 80 minutes. The charging profile of the E Tourneo Custom can pre-charge to support fast charges. The system achieved a range of approximately 125 km in just 5 minutes using a 38 kW charger in laboratory tests.
With a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 kg5 and generous payload6, the E-Tourneo Custom helps vehicle owners to travel with friends, family and sports equipment, and businesses to efficiently transport their customers and luggage. Powering up to 2,3 kW to digital devices, gadgets, sports and camping equipment without being connected to the mains via sockets in the front cabin, Pro Power Onboard technology allows customers to take advantage of the full potential of the electric versions of the Tourneo Custom.

Tourneo vehicles also need to function as mobile seating and workspaces to support users' active lives. The Tourneo Custom is also available with the same innovative tilt-adjustable steering wheel introduced in the newly launched E Transit Custom. Thanks to this class-specific feature, the steering wheel can be used as an ergonomic work area for laptops and tablets, or it can be fully folded and turned into a useful table.
One of the priorities in the design process was to maximize comfort and ease of movement in the cabin. Accordingly, all vehicles have a flat-bottom steering wheel. This rounded square shape and gear lever positioned on the steering column in automatic transmission vehicles creates more space and facilitates access. In addition, by positioning the front passenger airbag on the ceiling instead of the instrument panel, more space and storage compartments were created in the front cabin. In this way, laptops or A4 file size items can be stored in the closed storage compartment on the console. Electronic devices can now be safely placed closer to the driver with industry standard AMPS mounts.
