The new PEUGEOT 2022, which made a rapid start in the hatchback segment by receiving many orders, as it was put on sale in Turkey in October 308, is preparing to hit the roads in our country as of 2023 with its fully electric version called e-308. The electric 308 (PEUGEOT e-308) will be available with a new electric motor producing 115 kW (156 HP) and a range of over 400 km (WLTP standard), depending on trim level. The unique design of the new 308 blends the driving pleasure characteristic of PEUGEOT models with an average fuel consumption of 12,7 kWh and segment-leading efficiency.
Offering a unique experience in terms of design, driving dynamics and technological features with the new PEUGEOT 308 model, PEUGEOT aims to raise the bar even more by offering the electric version of the same model in our country as of 2023. The design of the new PEUGEOT e-308 draws on both PEUGEOT DNA and its dynamic and high-class world. The long front hood refines the silhouette. In addition, the brand's new logo is proudly displayed in the middle of the grille. The overall optimization of the architecture contributes to the spaciousness of the interior. At the front, the lion's tooth signature headlight design seamlessly integrates the 308 into the PEUGEOT family, while framing the Matrix LED headlights. Similarly, the triple lion claw LED taillights at the rear also emphasize brand loyalty. The new 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels have been specially developed for the all-electric versions of the new PEUGEOT 308. This rim has been specifically designed to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and performance.
Electric motors are powered by a new generation battery
The new PEUGEOT e-308 will be available with a new all-electric engine with 115 kW (156 hp) and 260 Nm of torque from the start, providing instantaneous acceleration responses. Thanks to the new engine, the e-308 offers a quiet, vibration-free and CO2-free drive. The transmission in the PEUGEOT e-308 optimizes range while maintaining a high level of performance with the instantaneous response characteristic of electric motors. The battery also has a new generation chemistry, using a 54 kWh high voltage (51 kWh usage) battery. The battery, which has a new chemical composition containing 80% Nickel-10% Manganese-10% Cobalt, works with 400 volts and provides a range of up to 400 km according to the WLTP protocol.
Efficiency reference in the electric compact class
Efficiency was their main focus for the new PEUGEOT e-308 engineers. Extremely precise and detailed processes to reduce friction losses, such as engine, battery, aerodynamics, weight optimization and the use of A-class tires, resulted in a significant reduction in energy consumption. The resulting consumption of 100 kWh per 12,7 km means a new standard among all-electric vehicles in the C segment. In addition, the driver can select his own driving mode in 3 different ways: ECO, NORMAL and SPORT to manage energy consumption as effectively as possible. Apart from that, thanks to the “BRAKE” mode, it can increase deceleration when releasing the accelerator pedal to optimize energy recovery; It can drive with a single pedal. An integrated three-phase charger is supplied as standard and has a power rating of 11 kW. The charging socket is compatible with all charging modes. The battery can be charged up to 100% in less than 25 minutes at a 80kW fast charging point. The new PEUGEOT e-308 encourages the driver to drive calmly and safely; Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-Go feature, which maintains a safe following distance, supports it with new generation driving aids such as a long-range blind spot warning system that can detect up to 75 meters, and the Reverse Maneuvering Traffic Alert System, which makes life easier in reverse maneuvers.
