In the statement made by the Ministry of Commerce about automobile imports; “Recently, there have been reports in some media that some trucks loaded with automobiles brought to Turkey from abroad are kept at customs and not processed.

As in all other import transactions, in automobile imports, some documents requested from the relevant institutions and organizations must be submitted as per the legislation and the conditions specified in the regulations shared with the public by our Ministry must be fulfilled.

In accordance with the current legislation, if these conditions are fulfilled, the import transactions are concluded.

In this context, the aforementioned news does not reflect the truth, and there is no disruption in the transactions of the obliged parties who submit the necessary documents and make a declaration in compliance with the provisions of the legislation. On the other hand, those who carry these vehicles are also provided with the opportunity to unload their vehicle loads to the places under customs supervision.
