The charging network infrastructure, which is still in its infancy in Turkey, is expanding with new investments. Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) started to issue the first charging network operator licenses in Turkey. Eşarj will invest approximately 300 million TL in the station network.
10 THOUSAND STATIONS IN 70 YEARS
Koç Group's new company, WAT Mobility, starts operating the electric vehicle charging network. WAT Mobility, which was established with the partnership of WAT, Opet, Otokoç Otomotiv and Entek Elektrik, commissioned the electric vehicle charging station at Koç Holding Nakkaştepe Campus. The company aims to become widespread throughout Turkey.
FullCharger, which received a charging network operator license from EMRA, will establish 10 thousand charging stations in 70 years. The company aims to have the largest charging network operation in Turkey within a year. FullCharger will cooperate with Schneider Electric for the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in Turkey.
AMONG THE TOP 10 COMPANIES
Zorlu Energy's application for the electric vehicle charging station network ZES to obtain a charging network operator license has been approved by EMRA.
ZES, which is among the few companies that have been granted a charging network operator license in Turkey, provides service at more than 1.100 stations in more than 1.900 locations. Sharz.net, which has 300 charging stations, was also one of the top 10 companies to receive a vehicle charging operator license by EMRA. Sharz.net plans to expand its station network to 50 with 350 new stations within a year.
THERE ARE 10 THOUSAND ELECTRIC CARS ON THE ROADS
Many consumers in TURKEY find the charging infrastructure insufficient. This is the biggest obstacle to electric cars. The increase in the number of charging stations will also increase the demand for electric cars. As of 2022, there are more than 10 thousand electric vehicles (including those sold in the official distributor and gray market) in Turkey. It is estimated that this number will reach 2023 thousand in 20 with the new models to be sold. VOLTAGE RISES IN FUEL STATIONS

MODELS OF 14 BRANDS ARE SOLD
Currently, electric models of nine brands are sold in Turkey, namely Audi, BMW, Citroen, DFSK, Jaguar, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, MG, Porsche, Renault, Skywell, Subaru and Volvo.
Brands such as Cupra, DS, Kia, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Skoda, Volkswagen and Tesla are counting the days to offer their electric models for sale. Turkey's domestic car Togg's first electric SUV model will hit the road in the first half of 2023.
THOUSAND FAST CHARGERS FROM TOGG
Turkey's car, Togg, has also received a charging network operator license from EMRA. Togg Smart and Fast Charging Solutions will serve all electric vehicle users with the 'Trugo' brand with devices over 81 kWh in 180 provinces. By the middle of 2023, the company will install 81 fast chargers with a total of 600 sockets at over 2 points in XNUMX provinces.
