Gemlik Facility, which is the core of Togg's 'Journey to Innovation' target, is being built on a total open area of 1 million 200 thousand square meters. The work in the production units, especially in the paint, body and assembly buildings, has reached the final stages.
The construction of the Togg Gemlik Facility, which is defined as “More than a Factory” with its functions gathered under the same roof, and its smart and environmental features, is progressing in line with the plans. In the last quarter of 2022, Togg, which is preparing to unload its first mass production smart device from the band, has reached the final stages of its work at the Gemlik Facility. Togg Gemlik Facility will start trial production at the end of July.
Partial trials started
The 208 robots in the body building started to be ready for trial production after partial trials on a cell basis. In the paint shop, which is the cleanest in Europe, where the first unpainted trials were carried out on the C-SUV body, the chemical filling phase was started. At the assembly facility, after the equipment was installed, the commissioning work began.
Ready for mass production in the last quarter of 2022
Togg, which set out with the aim of creating a global brand whose intellectual and industrial property 100% belongs to Turkey, and to form the core of the Turkish mobility ecosystem, will be ready for mass production in the last quarter of 2022. At the end of the first quarter of 2023, after the completion of homologation tests, the SUV, the first vehicle in the C segment, will be launched in Togg. Then, Sedan and Hatchback models in the C segment will enter the production line. In the following years, with the addition of B-SUV and C-MPV to the family, the product range consisting of 5 models carrying the same DNA will be completed. Togg plans to produce a total of 2030 million vehicles by 5, with the production of 1 different models from a single platform.
