Organized by the Classic Car Club with the support of ICRYPEX, Mesa, Arkas Group and Çeşme Municipality, the second race of the 2022 Turkish Classic Car Championship, Western Anatolia Rally, will be held in İzmir Çeşme on 04-05 June 2022. From the 1950s to the 1980s, 70 classic cars from almost every brand, each with the characteristics of its period, will blow the wind of nostalgia on the roads of Çeşme, Urla and Karaburun.
Club President Durgut Berberoğlu stated that the Western Anatolian Rally is held every year around the Aegean, that classical lovers from many different provinces of Turkey come to İzmir this year, that they are happy, that the organization also activates tourism, that they will be on the peninsula with a large number of participants and a technical team. told. Berberoğlu also stated that as a club sensitive to social issues involving women and children, they contributed to the Entrepreneurial Women Project of Çeşme Municipality, ÇEŞKA, with some of the revenues of this rally. 64 female pilots-copilots participate in the Western Anatolia Rally, which is the automobile sports branch in which women show the greatest interest.
Under the direction of Hakan Kanca, the Western Anatolia Rally will start on Saturday, June 04 at Grand Hotel Çeşme ONTUR and ON'LIVE Hotel. As the teams end the first day of the rally in front of the historical castle in Çeşme Square, they will also receive the surprise award of Çeşme Municipality. The second day will end with a gala and award ceremony. The awards will be given to the top teams in the race, accompanied by the music of the Aegean Band, at the gala to be held at ON'LIVE HOTEL.
