In the last time I’ve been doing some research on recently launched small businesses and start-ups for a project and besides all the interesting facts that I’ve discovered, there is one who caught my eye, and that’s the design, branding and all this kind of stuff.
I have seen a lot of interesting projects that have really big chances to reach their full potential of growth as they were coming up with an amazing and qualitative product but still, when it came to the design part, it was awful. Some of them were even missing an modern minimalist business which, from my point of view, is mandatory for any business, or I would say even for any website.
If you are at the beginning of your journey when it comes to a business and you didn’t consider investing in a web design logo yet, just imagine this: you are a customer who never heard about your brand, website, store or product and you are seeing it for the first time - what would you take in consideration before buying it? What would be the very first thing that will make you say: ‘’I’m definitely going to buy this!’’? If you think that the quality, good price and your innovative product will count that much, you might be wrong. The first thing that will convince a customer to become YOUR customer is your branding.
A customer’s first contact will be with your logo, your colors and the looks of your product and that’s why you should not neglect this factor. If you are an entrepreneur, I know that you feel that urge to do everything by yourself and you might think that you can handle the design part by yourself but, guess what, if you are not a logo designer pro you might fail. There is a moment during the growh of your business when you have to let a professional to do some task instead of you insisting to do everything by yourself. Sometimes you have to step back and let someone else to a task that might seem insignifiant for you, like creating a logo, while you can focus on other important tasks instead of trying to get everything done and failing at some points.
I’ve never considered the importance of a logo until I’ve experienced this by myself with one of my very first websites. I have worked on it for a while without being able to enjoy the results because there were none, even if I thought that I did a good job and I deserved some success. My content was indeed good, but the design was not really one of my strongest points. It took me a while until I realized it, but after I made some changes and improved the way that my website looked, the number of visitors doubled in a short time. Since then, I’m always paying attention to how my website, product or business looks like and it’s worth it.
