A new era is beginning in Opel, one of the world's most established automobile brands. Florian Huettl has been appointed as the new CEO of Opel/Vauxhall by the Supervisory Board of Opel Automobile GmbH. Huettl will take over the leadership of two brands as of June 1, 2022, replacing Uwe Hochgeschurtz, who will take over the responsibilities of Maxime Picat by moving to the position of Stellantis Extended Europe Operations Director, to which Opel is affiliated.
A new era is beginning in Opel, which makes a difference with its superior German technology and contemporary designs under the umbrella of Stellantis. Florian Huettl replaces the current CEO of the German manufacturer, Uwe Hochgeschurtz, as CEO of Opel/Vauxhall, following the appointment of Stellantis as Chief Operating Officer for Europe. Huettl, 45, appointed as the new CEO of Opel/Vauxhall by the Supervisory Board of Opel Automobile GmbH, will assume the leadership of the two brands as of June 1, 2022.
Florian Huettl, Opel/Vauxhall's Head of Sales and Marketing, replaces Uwe Hochge schurtz, who will take over the responsibilities of Maxime Picat. Uwe Hochgeschurtz took over as CEO of Opel/Vauxhall on 1 September 2021. During this time, it accelerated Opel/Vauxhall's move towards electrification and digitalisation.

Opel is the only German brand of the group and Vauxhall is the only British brand. Florian Huettl will continue to work closely with Uwe Hochgeschurtz in the future.
