Motul 2022 Turkey Karting Championship started with the first leg organized by Kocaeli Karting Club (KO-KART) on 09-10 April at TOSFED Körfez Karting Track with the participation of 45 athletes. Within the scope of the first karting race of the 2022 season, sponsored by ICRYPEX, which was the scene of great competition, three races were run in 4 different categories over two days.
In the mini category with 12 athletes, Rüzgar Evci won the first place, Can Özler came second and Cem Karakömür came third on the podium. Melek Dorum won the first place in mini women. Emir Tanju came first in the junior category, in which 11 athletes took part, and Hakkı Dorum came in third, Leyla Sulyak came in third, while Leyla Sulyak came first, Ayşe Cebi second and Zeynep Büyükpınar third in junior women. In the senior category with the highest participation with 17 athletes, Kerim Sulyak took the first place, Gün Taşdelen came second and Mert Ali Sarıçiçek came in third. The master category podium was first Mehmet Çınar, second Aytaç Biter and third Ersin Yücesan.

Motul 2022 Turkey Karting Championship will continue with the second leg races to be organized by Tuzla Karting Club on 07-08 May.
