The iconic American brand Jeep, owned by Stellent, has revealed the first images of its upcoming electric SUV. The company isn't sharing any other details or even the vehicle's name, but has confirmed that the new home will launch in 2023.

Jeep has been slower to adopt electrification compared to many of its competitors. The automaker has launched plug-in hybrid versions of its Wrangler and Grand Cherokee SUVs, and the same zamGrand Cherokee, which currently comes with a hybrid engine, is planning an off-road version of the Trailhawk.

But the eponymous SUV, due next year, will be Jeep's first fully battery-electric vehicle. The automaker recently announced that it will launch "zero emission" versions and plug-hybrid variants of all its vehicles by 2025.
