Powered by its long history in motor sports, Goodyear strengthens its ties with the championship as the official title sponsor of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. Starting this year, the organization's official name will change to the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship, or Goodyear FIA ETRC.
The Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship represents the pinnacle of truck racing. The organization gives the transportation industry the opportunity to showcase the performance and durability of vehicles and components, showcase breakthrough technologies and showcase developments for a sustainable future. In the 2022 laps that make up the 8 calendar, teams will compete on Europe's leading tracks, proving Goodyear technology not only on the tracks, but also in transport fleet operations off the track.
FIA ETRC, which stepped into a more environmentally friendly future by switching to 2021% renewable HVO biodiesel fuels in 100, won the title of being the first championship held with sustainable biofuels within the body of the FIA. Goodyear, with its experience in developing road-type products with high fuel efficiency and low emissions, will introduce new technologies in the coming years in cooperation with ETRA (European Truck Racing Association). In addition, it will share its expertise in developing tires that provide outstanding performance in different conditions, while remaining durable and long-lasting with its solid carcass technology. Alongside these performance features, the tire data collection capabilities Goodyear has built into its smart tire monitoring solutions are important for FIA ETRC racing as well as increasing revenues and minimizing downtime in everyday transport operations.

This championship within the body of the FIA will now be organized under the name Goodyear, further strengthening this position. Goodyear is the official tire supplier of two more events where biofuels will be used, the FIA World Endurance Championship (including the Le Mans 24 Hours) and the European Le Mans Series. Goodyear, same zamcurrently co-founder of the FIA ETCR – eTouring Car World Cup for fully electric vehicles, where each team and driver uses a specially developed Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport for electric performance vehicles.
