Toyota became one of the official supporters of the Tour of Antalya 13 Cycling Races, which was held with the participation of 23 teams and 161 athletes from 2022 countries. In the Tour of Antalya, which is organized with a different theme every year, this year pedals were determined as raising awareness on “Climate Change”. In line with this theme, all of the cars that will follow the athletes on the track were hybrid models of Toyota, which stands out with its environmentally friendly technology, with the support of Toyota. Thus, the carbon footprint will be significantly reduced during the races.

The “Climate Change Awareness Ride”, which will be held on Sunday, February 2022, as part of the Tour of Antalya 13, will be held in company with Toyota's hybrid product range. Toyota's hybrid product range C-HR, RAV4, Corolla, Corolla Hatchback and Yaris will be available for use by athletes, members of the press, technical staff and referees in races.

Toyota's Environmental Vision

With its 2050 Environmental Target, Toyota continues to work in the fields of zero emission in production, reducing the use of natural resources, afforestation activities, use of recycled water, and minimizing waste. Demonstrating the importance it attaches to the environment with these studies, Toyota today holds the leadership in the sector with the sales of more than 19 million environmentally friendly hybrid vehicles. Offering a hybrid version of each passenger model, Toyota has prevented the emission of around 140 million tons of CO2 with these sales, reaching a rate equivalent to the oxygen emission of 11 billion trees.

Meeting the stricter emission regulations, especially in European countries, and succeeding in being the leader in this technology, Toyota offers great advantages to its users with its hybrid technology, which it constantly develops. Hybrids, which have 15 percent less fuel consumption compared to diesel and 36 percent less than gasoline, also respond positively to low emission standards in many countries and regions compared to other hybrid and similar models, especially mild hybrid cars.
