Chinese luxury vehicle manufacturer Donfeng's new electric SUV called Voyah is preparing to enter the European market from Norway in June. Norway is an important market for electric car manufacturers in Europe, as up to 2021 percent of cars on its roads were electrified by 65. Norway is seen as the gateway to Europe for such vehicles. Voyah, the luxury product of Chinese Dongfeng Motor Corporation, will also enter Europe from Norway.
The company, which is well known in the automobile industry, has signed many joint ventures with manufacturers such as Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Honda, Nissan and Kia. Launched in China in July 2021, Voyah delivered 5 electric vehicles in 6 months.
Destined for the European market, and Norway in particular, Voyah comes out with 4,90 versions of a 2-metre SUV. The first of these is a single electric motor of 255 kilowatts, powered by a battery with a capacity of 88 kilowatt-hours and has an autonomy range of 505 kilometers. The other is equipped with two motors with a total of 510 kilowatts, a battery of 88 kilowatt-hours, and has an autonomy distance of 475 kilometers.
The rest of Europe will have to wait until the last quarter of the year for Voyah vehicles, with the first deliveries to Norway in June of this year. The company stated that the average price of the SUV, which went on sale last December, would be in the range of 43 thousand to 50 thousand euros.
