Toyota Opens C+pod Sales to All Customers

Toyota has started to offer its C+pod ultra-compact electric vehicle to individual customers as well as all corporate customers and municipalities in Japan. C+pod, which was offered to a limited number of users last year, will now be offered to a wider customer base to meet their mobility needs.

C+pod, an environmentally friendly two-seater electric vehicle, has more compact dimensions than a small car and is designed as a mobility option for users who travel short daily distances. The target audience of C+pod includes profiles such as young people, new users or adults who are afraid to drive.

Despite its ease of use, environmental friendliness and ultra-compact body, it received very positive reactions from users for its comprehensive safety and security features. With a length of 2.490 mm, a width of 1.290 mm and a height of 1.550 mm, the turning circle of the vehicle is only 3.9 meters. In this way, C+pod, which can maneuver comfortably in narrow spaces, has a range of 150 km on a single charge. The 2 kWh lithium-ion battery of the 9.06-person C+pod can be fully charged in 5 hours. In addition, the C+pod can be used as a power source for up to 10 hours with the input on the front. The weight of the C+pod, which can reach a maximum speed of 60 km / h, is only 670 kg.

It also includes the proactive 3R initiative for the batteries of C+pod, which is offered under a leasing agreement in Japan. Thus, it stands out as a step towards achieving the carbon-neutral mobility society that Toyota aims for, together with re-evaluation and recycling in battery use.

Toyota will continue to meet the mobility needs of every user, from young to old, by offering different mobility products, including C+pod and C+walk.
