World Famous Electric Car Race PURE-ETCR Coming to Turkey in 2022

PURE-ETCR (Electric Passenger Car World Cup), a brand new international motor sports organization where fully electric cars compete fiercely, is coming to Turkey in 2022.

PURE-ETCR, which will take place as a world cup next year with the agreement between the FIA ​​and Discovery Sports Events, has the vision to provide a global platform for manufacturers to showcase their racing versions of their cutting-edge electric cars on the track in an intensely competitive environment. In this respect, it was a Turkish company called EMSO Sportif that brought PURE-ETCR, which is expected to be an ever-growing international motor sports organization, to which many brands and host countries will participate in the coming years.

Having successfully undertaken many world-famous motor sports organizations in recent years, Turkey is preparing to host another brand new competition. One leg of the PURE-ETCR (Electric Passenger Car World Cup), which was held for the first time this year and shown as one of the most important international motor sports organizations of the future, will take place in Turkey in 2022. PURE-ETCR, where fully electric sports cars specially prepared for the competition compete fiercely, stands out as an exciting organization that brings together the electric transformation of the automotive industry and motor sports. 680 HP electric cars compete

PURE-ETCR was held for the first time in the 2021 season. In the first season, races took place in Italy, Belgium, Spain, Denmark and France. In the organization where Alfa Romeo, Cupra and Hyundai took part with their new generation fully electric cars; 3 different teams, 6 ETCR race cars and 12 team pilots competed fiercely. An ETCR car can reach 65 kW, or 500 HP, with a battery capacity of 680 kWh. These mid-engined and rear-wheel drive cars accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3,2 seconds.
