PIRELLI P ZERO AND P ZERO CORSA TIRES THE EQUIPMENT OF THE 21ST CENTURY COUNTACH
The 2021 Lamborghini Countach is a hybrid supercar that pays tribute to the iconic model, which is celebrating its 814th anniversary this year, with 355 hp and a top speed of 50 km/h. The P Zero tires, which Pirelli produced as equipment for the new car, in the size of 255/30 R20 at the front and 355/25 R 21 at the rear, were developed to improve the performance of the vehicle, as well as safety, control and handling. The tire structure and compound have been optimized to provide the best possible grip in all driving conditions, as well as to achieve high traction and braking levels on wet and dry roads. Born as a revolutionary car, faster and more technically advanced than even the iconic Miura, the Lamborghini Countach modeled the 1970s sports cars and pioneered the modern generation of high-performance supercars. PIRELLI AND LAMBORGHINI: PARTNERSHIP FOR YEARS
The Pirelli and Lamborghini collaboration dates back to 1963, when Ferruccio Lamborghini requested tires from Pirelli as equipment for his newly designed first production car. That car was the 350 GTV, which was exhibited as a prototype at the Turin Motor Show that same year. This was the first step in a collaboration that represents some of the most important moments in automotive history and continues today. The production version of the GTV was called the 350 GT and used a HS (High Speed) specification tire from the Cinturato family.
