Groupe Renault aims to offer the most environmentally friendly product mix of the European market with more than 2025 percent electric and electric assisted vehicles in 65 and up to 2030 percent electric vehicles in 90.

We will develop 10 new electric models and produce up to one million electric vehicles by 2030, from low-cost urban vehicles to high-end sporty vehicles. Product range: Electro-pop cars

Groupe Renault will make the most of electric vehicle platforms by introducing 2025 new electric vehicles, 7 of which are Renault, by 10. The iconic Renault 5 with a modern and electric touch, from the battery to the electric powertrain and assembly, will be built by Renault ElectriCity in Northern France with the new CMF-B EV platform.

Special platforms for electric vehicles

The Group is also developing the CMF-EV and CMF-BEV platforms with its 10 years of experience in the field of electric vehicle platforms.

The CMF-EV platform for the C and D segments offers enhanced driving pleasure. This platform will represent 2025 units at Alliance level by 700. CMF-EV offers a WLTP range of up to 580 km with low energy consumption. This performance is based on the deep knowledge of the Group and Nissan's engineers working on friction and weight reduction and cutting-edge thermal management technologies.

Apart from its low center of gravity and ideal weight distribution, which makes driving responses more agile, CMF-EV offers a unique driving pleasure with its low steering ratio and multi-link rear suspension. Manufactured in Douai, the new MéganE will also rise on the CMF-EV platform.

The CMF-BEV, on the other hand, will allow Groupe Renault to produce affordable BEVs in the B segment. This new platform reduces cost by 33 percent compared to the current generation ZOE. This is achieved on a volume scale with a replaceable battery module, a lower cost and compact size 100 kW powertrain and non-vehicle components of the CMF-B platform, and 2025 million vehicles per year by 3. Competitive electric vehicles made in France

Groupe Renault also signed a memorandum of understanding to own more than 20 percent of French start-up Verkor. Innovative electric power-train systems

Group Renault is one step ahead of the competition as the only OEM with its own e-motor based on electrically driven synchronous motor (EESM) technology. Having already made most of the investment, the Group has managed to halve the cost of batteries over the last decade and will catch up again in the next decade. The Group will gradually integrate new technological developments into its EESM from 2024.

The group has also signed a partnership with French Start-up Whylot for an innovative axial-flux e-motor. This technology will first be applied in hybrid powertrain systems.
