Again, as a motor vehicle market, we see that the total motor vehicles market in North and South America is 25 million per year before the pandemic. I also remind you that the countries in the region realize a total of 500 billion dollars of automotive imports and 150 billion dollars of supply industry imports annually. Except for Chile and Venezuela, there is no country in the region with which we have signed a Free Trade Agreement. FTA negotiations continue with Mexico, Peru, Colombia and MERCOSUR countries. "We can say that it is important to be able to export without customs duty in order to get more shares from this big market, and that making a FTA with the countries of the region will give our exporters an advantage." TİM President İsmail Gülle stated that the business world quickly adapts to the pandemic conditions, and that virtual trade delegations and virtual fairs will have positive reflections on our exports in the medium and long term. Giving information about the export figures of the American continent, Gülle said, “In the first quarter of 2021, the automotive sector increased its exports to North America by 14 percent and to South America by 41 percent. The share of the entire American continent in the sector's exports was 5,6 percent. These numbers are a clear indicator of success. However, we have more to do.
