In the January-December period of 2020, the total market increased by 62 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 796 units. In this period, the automobile market increased by 200 percent and was 58 units.
In the commercial vehicle group, production contracted by 2020 percent in the January-December period of 8, while it increased by 8 percent in the heavy commercial vehicle group and decreased by 9 percent in the light commercial vehicle group. Compared to the January-December period of 2019, the commercial vehicle market increased 78 percent, the light commercial vehicle market 77 percent and the heavy commercial vehicle market 82 percent.
In the January-December period of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports decreased by 27 percent on unit basis and automobile exports by 28 percent. During this period, total exports were 916 thousand 543 units, while automobile exports were 596 thousand 616 units.
In the January-December period of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports decreased by 17 percent in dollar terms and 19 percent in Euro terms compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, total automotive exports amounted to $ 25,9 billion, while automobile exports decreased by 22 percent to $ 9,3 billion. Automobile exports in Euro terms decreased by 23 percent to 8,1 billion €.
