Stating that there are 375 drugs obtained from abroad and 8545 licensed in our country on the reimbursement list, Minister Selçuk said, "The number of domestic drugs paid for in our Social Security Institution reached 8545 with this addition."
Noting that there are only 14 equivalents of the 8 new drugs added, Minister Selçuk said, "With the addition of these drugs to the reimbursement list, new alternatives and accessibility have been born for the treatments they are used."

Minister Selçuk stated that the procedure "Repair of Spina Bifida with Fetal Surgery" was included in the scope of reimbursement by SGK in order to repair the damage by intervening in the womb of babies diagnosed with spina bifida, which occurs in the babies in the womb in the first month of pregnancy and is known as the "Split Spine" disease among the public. stated.
Noting that Spina Bifida is seen in babies born in our country at a rate of 3-4 per thousand a year, Minister Selçuk said:
“With Spina Bifida Repair with Fetal Surgery, the number of disabled children and the degree of disability are reduced, the need for surgery is eliminated with the regression of cerebellum prolapse / cerebellum hernia or chiari malformation, orthopedic surgeries for the spine to be performed after birth and other problems in the skeletal system, especially for the bladder. We expect reduction in operations, prevention of shunt infections with recurrent shunt operations, and reduction in expenses for physical therapy after birth.
On the other hand, 4 of the drugs included in the reimbursement list are cancer drugs, 2 of them are drugs used in the treatment of urothelial cancer supplied from abroad, and 2 are innovative targeted therapeutic drugs used in the last stage of lung cancer. One of the drugs used in vitiligo treatment is supplied from abroad, while it is manufactured in our country and received for payment. Others consist of 1 drugs used in the treatment of hypertension, 5 drugs used in the treatment of cough, 2 drug used in the treatment of colds and 1 drug used in women receiving radiotherapy.
Stating that citizens can obtain drugs from pharmacies contracted with the Social Security Institution, Minister Selçuk said, “I wish the drugs to be healed for our patients, I wish our citizens a healthy life”.
