The period for obtaining the document required by the enterprises where engine oil changes are made to perform this activity has been extended until July 1, 2021.
The Regulation on the Amendment of the Waste Oil Management Regulation by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the information obtained from the Ministry, amendments were made in the Regulation in order to eliminate the problems caused by the implementation of the current regulation, to increase the amount of waste oil collection and to make the management of waste oils more effective.
Accordingly, taking into account the conditions of Kovid-19, the period for obtaining the Engine Oil Change Point Document (MoYDeN), which is required for businesses where engine oil changes are made, to carry out this activity, was delayed for 6 months and extended until July 1, 2021.
Regulations were made in the waste oil codes within the scope of the Regulation, with the compliance of the existing facilities to the trial production plan and the collection of waste oils by refining facilities as well as the authorized institution.
In addition, with the amendment, oil producers are obliged to collect increasingly, starting in 2021, depending on the amount of mineral oil they put on the market.
It was also obligatory for oil producers to use base oil obtained from domestic waste oils in determined ratios of the mineral oils they produce.
