Akıncı TİHA Successfully Performed Fully Autonomous Landing and Take-off

Within the scope of the project carried out under the leadership of the Defense Industry Directorate, Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), which was developed by BAYKAR with domestic and national means, realized a first within the scope of the test carried out on 4 November 2020. Taking off from Çorlu, AKINCI successfully achieved a fully autonomous landing and takeoff from the remote square, where there is no ground control station (YKI).

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, whose testing activities are continuing at Bayraktar AKINCI Flight Training Center located in Çorlu Airport Command, after the system identification tests performed at an average altitude of 20 thousand feet, in order to test the landing and take-off capability on another runway without a ground control station (YKI). reached the far square. AKINCI, who successfully completed the fully autonomous landing and take-off in the square, where there was no GCI, then returned to Çorlu.

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA realized its first flight on December 6, 2019. The integration process of the third prototype of the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA project, where the first delivery is planned to be carried out by the end of the year, continues at the Baykar National S / UAV R&D and Production Center. The third prototype will be sent to Çorlu Airfield Command to perform the test flights after the integration is completed.
