China's desire for clean energy enabled up to 60 percent of the country's buses to consist of electrically powered buses. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China recently announced the latest statistics on electric vehicles. From the numbers here, it is understood that during the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020), the country made a lot of effort for an environmentally friendly transport and traffic system based on the principle of a cleaner environment. Indeed, during this period, it is determined that vehicles operating with clean energy have turned to vehicles operating with clean energy and that they have moved away from vehicles consuming gasoline.
Last month, total passenger car sales were 8 million vehicles, up 2,09 percent compared to the previous year. On the other hand, with the 138 thousand electric vehicles sold, the sales of electric vehicles increased by 67,7 percent since last year. China currently has the highest electric vehicle presence, with 55 percent of electric vehicle sales worldwide occurring in this country.
In order to respond to the increase in demand caused by the green consumption trend, the government also adopted a plan to stimulate the electric vehicle industry in early October. In accordance with the plan, the infrastructure construction, including the charging facilities, will be strengthened and international cooperation will be accelerated.
By responding to climate change, China made international commitments and strengthened its environmentally friendly actions within the framework of the 13th Five-Year Plan. As a matter of fact, 'non-fossil / clean fuels' at the end of last year accounted for 15,3 percent of the country's energy consumption. Thus, China has kept its promise to the international community for 2020 ahead of time.
