İzmir Çeşme Fire is Under Control

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli announced that as of August 22, 28 forest fires that broke out across the country were taken under control.

Minister Pakdemirli, who came out in İzmir Çeşme today at 17.41 and informed that the first response was made 10 minutes later (at 17.51), coordinated the fire response activities from the air with the fire management and administrative helicopter.

Minister Pakdemirli made the following statements regarding the fires that broke out throughout the country during the day; “We took the İzmir Çeşme fire under control. Cooling studies have also started. A total of 28 fires, 17 of which were forest fires and 45 rural fires, broke out during the day, and all of them were taken under control by this hour. Our efforts to extinguish and control the fire that broke out in Antalya Manavgat continue at full speed. "
