What Does Sakura Mean?

Today, Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital entered into full capacity with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The hospital, which has the capacity to take 35 thousand outpatients per day and to operate with 500 features, has 725 polyclinic rooms and 3 operating rooms, 90 of which are hybrid. Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, which will serve in 107 branches, have 4 different emergency services: Adult, Child, Trauma and Maternity.

THE HOSPITAL WILL PROVIDE SERVICE IN 107 BRANCHES AND BE 4 SEPARATE EMERGENCY SERVICES

With 725 outpatient clinics, 3 operating rooms, 90 of which are hybrid, the hospital has the capacity to receive 35 thousand ambulatory patients and perform 500-specific operations. The hospital, which will serve in 107 branches for children and adults, offers advanced diagnosis and treatment facilities with the most advanced medical devices and equipment. Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital has a total of 456 beds, 2 of which are intensive care beds. Within the 682 thousand square meter closed area, there are 30 different emergency services: Adult, Child, Trauma and Gynecology. There are 4 observation areas, where there are negative pressure rooms and where emergency intensive care conditions can be provided, in the emergency departments, which have diagnostic and treatment units to serve a minimum of 7 thousand patients daily.

Why was the hospital named Sakura? Citizens began to investigate Sakura's understanding with curiosity. So what does Sakura mean, why was the name of the newly opened hospital Sakura?

WHAT DOES SAKURA MEAN?

Turkish, which is a Japanese word, means “Cherry Blossom”. Sakura is a kind of "Cherry Tree" that does not bear fruit. It is the flower of any of the few trees of the genus Prunus. Sakura is of great importance in Japanese culture and is one of the national symbols of Japan.

This flower opens the last week of March and the first week of April, and in Japan this period is considered sacred. So much so that a "Sakura Condition" is given after the weather. This period when flowers bloom is the period when Japan accepts the most tourists

 WHY WAS THE SAKURA NAME GIVEN TO THE HOSPITAL?

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a statement on Monday: “We have named this hospital as Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital. We said that Pine should represent us. Sakura said Japan. ”

The first phase of the hospital was opened on April 20. Today the rest will come into service.

Hospital builders started construction on the plant in 2016 according to the information contained in the site Renaissance Holding, by the Ministry of Health made with the Public Private Partnership model is Turkey's third largest investment project health.

The hospital, which has an area of ​​1 million square meters, has 2 thousand 354 beds and 456 intensive care beds.
