Karaismailoğlu Explained the Measures and Practices Taken on Railway Lines

Karaismailoğlu talked about the measures and new practices taken on the railway lines with the Kovid-19 outbreak. Reminding that the intercity trips were restricted at the first stage in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, Karaismailoğlu said that passenger flights were temporarily stopped on high-speed, main and local trains starting from March 28.

Karaismailoğlu stated that by allocating the idle capacity to freight trains, they are going to meet the logistics needs of the industrialist, manufacturer and exporter. Giving information about the steps they took in this context, Karaismailoğlu said, “As of 28 March, when the transportation of passengers in our railways was restricted, we mobilized all the possibilities for freight transportation. We use our railways on possible lines to carry loads without human contact. There is an intense desire for transports, especially on the Iran and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) rail routes due to the restrictions on transports with trucks and trucks. ” he spoke.

Pointing out to the importance of the strategy followed, Karaismailoğlu said: “Within the scope of the measures taken against the economic effects of the coronavirus epidemic, most of the transportations especially with Iran started to be carried out by rail and without human contact. We ensure that all products needed by our citizens are brought to our country via our railways. At the moment, we cannot carry our citizens on our railways, but our railways have all the burden they need for their health and future. ”

“Trains Are Taken In The Disinfection Cabinet”

Karaismailoğlu said that although freight is carried and no human contact is allowed, all freight trains are disinfected both before and immediately after the trip.

Stating that disinfection procedures are carried out meticulously within the scope of the Kovid-19 measures, trains are taken to the cabinets with vehicle disinfection system, Karaismailoğlu said, “We do not abandon the measure, even though we only carry cargo on our trains. We are meticulously applying disinfection processes both at the entrance of the cargo and at the entrance of the dormitory. We do not leave our job to chance. ” found the assessment.

Minister Karaismailoğlu added that private railway train operators continue their cargo transportation by taking all precautions.
