The French flagship 2020 DS 9 Sedan European version was introduced. DS Automobiles, which has left Citroen in the past years and became a brand of its own, introduced the 2020 DS 9 Sedan European version.

Although the design of the DS 9 sedan looks like a very different vehicle, it uses the same platform as the Peugeot 508. The length of the car to be sold in Europe is 4933 mm, width is 1855 mm, height is 1468 mm, and the wheelbase is 2895 mm. From this point of view, we see that DS 9 is about 508 cm longer than the 20, on which it shares the same platform.

DS 9 comes with plug-in hybrid (rechargeable hybrid) engine options. The first consists of a 1,6 liter PureTech gasoline engine, an electric motor and 11.9 kWh battery, producing a total of 225 horsepower. The system, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, allows a driving range of around 40-50 km using only the electric motor.

In the future, two new plug-in hybrid (rechargeable hybrid) engines will be added to the DS 9's engine options. One will produce 250 horsepower and offer more range. The other will have 360 horsepower and a smart four-wheel drive system. DS 9 is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2020. The price of the vehicle is not yet clear.
