2020 Audi A3 to Use Recycled Plastic

Audi will introduce the new Audi A3 model at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. Audi has released a visual for the new A3 model before the fair. Sharing a photo of the vehicle's seats, Audi gave information about the environmentally friendly interior of the 2020 A3 model.

Audi says that up to 89% of this environmentally friendly material is made up of recycled pet bottles, which are then transformed into thread for seat covers. The result is a more environmentally friendly material that is the equivalent of traditional flooring. At this point, 3 45-liter bottles for each A1,5 seat and 62 extra bottles for flooring are said to be required. Other recycled internal components include insulating materials, luggage compartment lining and mats.

Believing that all the seat covers will be made from fully recycled materials in the future, Audi announced that it will present the new generation A3 with three different material designs.

Under the hood of the new A3, which is expected to come with an innovative exterior design, a series of TSI and TDI Evo engine options, including the lightweight hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, are likely to take place just like the Octavia 4 and Golf 8.
