Mersin Metropolitan Municipality continues to support all kinds of sports. 2019 Mediterranean Off-Road Cup 5th leg final races were held in Tarsus with the support of Metropolitan.
Tarsus Off-Road Club, the short name of which was hosted by the Tarsus and the 98th anniversary of the drying of the enemy occupation of Tarsus, the races held within the scope of the celebrations, took place at the Tork Arena on the TEM highway port of Gazipaşa Boulevard.
Infrastructure support from Metropolitan
The Metropolitan Municipality provided infrastructure support to the races which were quite exciting in 4 stages. According to the wishes of the club members in the field where the races will be excavated in the field metropolitan teams, working for days through the construction machinery. In the races where the platform provided by the Metropolitan was established, food was served to the participants.
22 vehicles and 44 athletes from neighboring cities participated in the competition, which was quite contentious, 4X4 vehicles, showed their ingenuity in the mud in rainy weather. Some of the vehicles in adrenaline-filled races could not complete the tracks.
The winners received their awards
Despite the cold weather, the citizens showed great interest in the races in four different categories of trophies Mersin Metropolitan Municipality İmar A.Ş. In addition, gift packages consisting of products produced at Mersin Women's Initiative Production and Management Cooperative were also presented to the winners.
