The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), TEKNOFEST Istanbul Aviation, Space and Technology Festival held this year the 15th "TUBITAK Electric Vehicle Efficiency Challenge Races" at the winning teams were announced. In the final races at Körfez Race Track, 28 vehicles, 5 of which were in the category of electromobile and 33 of which were in the category of hydromobile, were included.
In the electromobile category, Çukurova University ranked first, Yıldız Technical University ranked second and Altınbaş University ranked third. Efficiency record award was given to Yıldız Technical University Alternative Energy Systems Club with 715 Wh energy consumption value. In the hydromobile category, Yıldız Technical University won the first place, Eskişehir Technical University the second and Uludağ University the third. Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University and Yıldız Technical University shared the technical design award. Konya Technical University, Kastamonu University and Altınbaş University were awarded the visual design award.
The vehicles of the teams that are entitled to the award will be taken to Istanbul Atatürk Airport within the scope of TEKNOFEST Istanbul Aviation, Space and Technology Festival. Here, the vehicles will both be on display and drive the show.
